Our Mission

You will encounter different issues and concerns throughout your life.  However, no matter where you are on your journey, we can help you succeed.

As children, you are learning about life, learning to get along with others, and trying to succeed in school.  You are “preparing for life”.  When difficulties arise, parents may be there to help, but they don’t always know what to do. Schools don’t always have the answers either.  Problems can compound, leaving children further and further behind.

When we are older, our focus turns to becoming productive adults.  That means succeeding in the workplace, raising our families, staying healthy and ultimately avoiding cognitive decline so we can enjoy our “golden years”.

At Path to Vibrant Living, we offer help for youngsters and young adults through our School and Life Success program. Additionally, through our Brain and Body Wellness – Healthy Aging program, we have help for mature adults who are looking to maintain their vitality and mental acuity throughout their lifespans.

In addition to the academic training, my training involved clinical work and case review.  It also required doing neurofeedback therapy on myself and consulting with my BCIA-certified mentor.  It has made a big difference in my life.  Now when I take cognitive tests, my focus and performance scores are all in the well-above-average range - a happy surprise, given my previous ADD-type learning profile.

I have continued to investigate how a balanced approach combining nutrition, exercise, and “right-thinking”, along with the appropriate brain and body wellness tools can bring about changes in our health and happiness.   As I find and identify new approaches that work, I share them with my clients.  Despite the struggles and occasional setbacks I’ve encountered, my life is immeasurably better as a result of this journey. It brings me great joy when I can help people improve their own health and make progress in solving their wellness concerns.  I look forward to seeing you and your loved one’s progress along your own: “Path to Vibrant Living”!

Over the course of my life, I have had struggles with health, productivity, and performance in school that have led me to seek solutions and find answers.  It is my passion to use this knowledge, these tools, and the techniques that have helped me find my joy and have given me my sense of purpose, so that I, in turn, can help other people along their own “Path to Vibrant Living”.

I started out with focus and learning problems that weren’t identified by my parents or teachers because I could “mask” my weaknesses by other areas of relative strength.  Though I progressed in school, to be successful, I had to work harder than other students and to completely isolate myself just to be able to meet school deadlines.

In 2008, I learned about neurofeedback.  I was working in the school system as a speech-language pathologist, helping children with learning and language problems.  I was frustrated, at that time, teaching strategies that, while useful, did not solve the core problems. I saw the potential to make lasting changes at a neurological, brain-based, level and really make a difference in my student’s lives, so I invested in the equipment and training to be able to use this powerful modality.
